New Years Eve in Orlando

The best New Year’s Eve celebrations are typically reserved for adults but, in Orlando, the whole family can join the party. Don’t worry – if you want to leave the kids back home, you’ll find plenty of fun just for adults, too.

You’ll earn “Parent of the Year” honors from your teen when you plan to spend New Year’s Eve at Fun Spot Action Park on International Drive. You will have unlimited go-kart rides on the park’s four multi-level tracks, unlimited game access in the arcade, unlimited rides on all family and thrill rides, free party favors and noisemakers and a midnight balloon drop. The fun gets underway at 9 p.m. and lasts until 1 a.m.

If you would rather be part of the show, plan to spend the evening at Howl at the Moon  on International Drive. Dueling piano players will have you singing along to old standards and new favorites. On New Year’s Eve, your experience will include a gourmet buffet served until 8 p.m., party favors and a champagne split.

Young revelers will have the best night ever with Walt Disney World’s many New Year’s Eve celebrations. At Magic Kingdom, a special SpectroMagic parade will light up the night, followed by the “Holiday Wishes” early-evening fireworks display and the “Fantasy in the Sky” fireworks spectacular at midnight. At Epcot, your family can celebrate New Year’s Eve around the world, with DJs and evening dance parties located throughout World Showcase. A special presentation of “Illuminations: Reflections of Earth” caps off the evening. Disney-MGM Studios  celebrates with multiple presentations of “Fantasmic!”, a special “Lights! Camera! Happy New Year!” fireworks spectacular and a DJ dance party at the Sorcerer Hat Stage. Each celebration is included in that park’s regular single park or Park Hopper ticket.

Kick your New Year's celebration into high gear at Downtown Disney Pleasure Island where the party is everywhere — in all seven sensational clubs and even on the streets! From 8:00 p.m. - 2:00 a.m., join the countdown to 2007 as Pleasure Island turns into a giant street party, with live bands and DJs mixing it up all night long. Dance to Top 40, Latin, Tropical, Hip-Hop, 70s and 80s, and Techno music. Enjoy live comedy and a wide variety of performers. Savor spectacular lime-marinated chicken, grilled mahi-mahi tacos, petite steak sandwiches and much more. At midnight, you'll be treated to a champagne toast and a fantastic fireworks display.

Ring in the New Year with Shamu and friends at SeaWorld Orlando. You'll enjoy amazing music by Michael Andrew & the Atomic Big Band, thrill rides and shows, and a massive fireworks display at midnight. The celebration is included in regular park admission.

Universal Orlando Resort invites you to “Turn on the Night” on New Year’s Eve at Universal CityWalk.  Party the night away at CityWalk’s nightclubs; groove to performances by Cyndi Lauper and Tower of Power; enjoy an unlimited buffet including filet mignon, jumbo shrimp and decadent desserts; and cap off the evening with a champagne toast and fireworks display at midnight.

Traveling with the kids this New Year’s Eve? Ring in 2007 at Universal Studios or Universal’s Islands of Adventure. Both parks are open for extended hours – from 8 a.m. – 1 a.m. – so you can scream in the New Year on the parks’ amazing thrill rides. Special in-park party zones will feature DJs, character appearances and fireworks at midnight. The celebration is included in regular park admission.

There are also special shows at Orlando's dinner theaters.  The Pirate's Dinner Adventure has a special New Year's Eve show starting at 9:30 p.m.  The excitement of the new Pirate's Christmas Adventure Show, along with pre-show appetizers, a delicious Pirate Feast, complimentary beer, wine and soda is served during the show, and 90 minutes of continuous comedy, romance, adventure and plenty of audience interaction is included. The show on New Years Eve includes all of the above PLUS a New Years Eve Dance Party complete with party hats and favors, a souvenir goblet, plus champagne and a balloon drop at midnight.
